Sturgethorpe CC have withdrawn from the Snaith and District Evening League while Outcasts, from Hirst Priory, near Crowle, have been admitted to Division Three.
The league AGM was held yesterday, Wed April 6th, at Carlton Towers.
Outcasts' team will consist mainly of under-15 and under-17s, with a smattering of senior players to add that bit of knowhow.
Peter "Spud" Tait has volunteered to skipper them and they will undoubtedly have some words of wisdom from the likes of Ian Fletcher (whose youngest son Alex will be playing) and David Hobson. to name but two.
Their opponents throughout the season will be Eggborough, Drax Village 2nds, Thorne Colliery and Howden Town, whilst they have been handed a home tie in the Arthur Brant Trophy against Burn CC, who were relegated from the First Division last year.
Outcasts are the second team from the Isle of Axholme to compete in the long established Snaith Evening League as Luddington have played for several years now.
Indeed they have had some success with two First Division titles and a Snaith League Shield victory of late.
