Haxey first team wicketkeeper/batsman Dale Coy suffered a knee injury last night while playing in goal during the TSW Printers Scunthorpe Saturday Football League Challenge Cup final, resulting in him having to be substituted.
We hope it's not a lasting injury and does not stop the man once described by an imaginative Scunthorpe Telegraph headline writer (not me!) as The Coy Wonder from taking his place in the Haxey starting line-up on the opening day of the new season.
Rumour is it that Nick Crawford will be keeping wicket for haxey in dales place
