The Broughton Evening League
got underway on May 21st 2014 with just the one game which saw Barton Town take on
Broughton at Marsh Lane and they ran out the winners by five
wickets, writes Glen Sands.
Broughton batted first , making 92 all out with David Tierney
top scoring on 30 , Wouter Ras taking 5 for 16 and Mike Hinchliffe 4 for 21 then
the home side eased to 93 for 5 as Shaun Clark picked up a creditable 3 for
14.
Barton head to title holders Appleby Frodingham on May 28th while
Broughton entertain Luddington in the nights other fixture.
