There was a full fixture list in the Amazing Smile NLL on August 4th but not every game was completed as heavy rain swept across the county to bring some early finishes in Division One and Three.
AMAZING SMILE NLL DIVISION ONEBroughton had made 145 against Caistor Cougars who appeared set to overhaul that total only for the rain to halt proceedings with the Cougars handily placed on 117 for 2 , Gareth Johnson being 67 not out and things finished even earlier at Heslam Park where Scunthorpe were 159 for 2 when the game was abandoned , Ramesh Chand having registered 56.
AMAZING SMILE NLL DIVISION TWOThe Isle derby at Hirst Priory produced a run fest as Outcasts racked up 276 for 7 against Luddington thanks to contributions from Jamie Belton ( 72 ) Oliver Coulman who was awesome when making 69 and Scott Buttrick ( 55 ) , Arron Curry taking 3 for 55 for Ludd who refused to lie down and responded with 203 themselves , Darren Clark hitting a sublime 81 and Andy Lawson 29 while Matthew Teal picked up an impressive 6 for 55. That win leaves Outcasts three points ahead of Alkborough in second who beat Messingham in a double header , although Messingham gave them a tough match when posting a total of 215 for 5 with Andy Langford making 65 not out and Brian Markham 50. Alkborough's man of the season so far Viadik Kishan Raj scored a terrific 105 with Fred Balderson adding 38 to guide Alkborough to a four wicket win , Cameron Sanderson picking up 3 for 54 for lowly Messingham. Haxey are level on points with Alkborough after they bowled Barton Acadamy Vikings out for 56 thanks to Andrew Steeper who took 5 for 33 and Luke Allen who captured 4 for 2 then the Isle side eased to 58 for 3 to maintain their promotion hopes.
AMAZING SMILE NLL DIVISION THREESouth Kelsey made 153 for 8 against Blyth CC with Rory Ronaldson hitting 40 and Neil Thompson 44 but the visitors had only got to 22 without loss when the rain came to bring about an early end to the game whilst out at Misterton youngster Ricky Kation scored an outstanding 103 not out for Upton cum Kexby in his teams total of 244 for 6 and despite skipper Darren Emmingham making 90 for Misterton they were bowled out for 160 , Will Burkett picking up four wickets.
