SCUNTHORPE WIN ONLY TOP-FLIGHTER

DIVISION ONE
Only one of the scheduled First Division games actually took place on Sunday as Caistor Cougars home ground was in use for a Lincolnshire League George Marshall Trophy Semi-Final, meaning their game v Messingham 3rds will be rearranged. Over in Gainsborough, Marshalls were unable to raise a team to play Appleby-Frodingham 3rds, which means Marshalls lose a point whilst Frod are awarded three. The game that was played was at Marsh Lane, where Scunthorpe 4ths set a target of 226 for 6 thanks to Michael McGillvary who hit 70, Jake Smith (64) and Ian Snowden (63) before Barton were reduced to 144 all-out, Dominic Bishop scoring 31 with Josh Pashley picking up 4 for 51.

DIVISION TWO
Leaders Grimsby Town 3rds were due to meet Outcasts 3rds at Augusta Street but will have to rearrange due to hosting an under 13 Cup Final which allowed Hibaldstow 2nds to close to within three points of Town at the top when they won against fellow challengers Broughton 3rds, who made 160 for 9 when batting first thanks to 65 from Neil Simpson, Chandi Wathukarage taking 5 for 28 for Stow who reached 161 for the loss of five wickets, Mark Nicholson and Simon Pullen both scoring 35 with Robbie Glentworth taking 3 for 47. Alkborough 3rds are within touching distance of the top three following their 6-wicket win over Brigg whom they bowled out for 112, Tom Brock top scoring for Brigg with 21 as Astle picked up 4 for 18, Mark Greenwood scoring 41 and Will Harrison 31 for Alkborough. And finally, Haxey 3rds continued their current good form when they beat Wheatley & Leverton by 4 wickets , Nick Cleaver hitting 41 and Callum Harrison 35 for Wheatley who posted a total of 114 all out only for Oliver Tonks (45) and Ton Scott (25 not out) to see Haxey home.

RESULT : HIBALDSTOW 2NDS win by 5 wickets

DIVISION THREE
With Barton Academy Vikings having no game there was a chance for Luddington to close the gap at the top of the table but they were well beaten by third-placed Misterton 2nds who are now right in the mix for promotion themselves. Darren Emmingham and Tim Sharpe hit 42 each as Misterton made 159 all out , Arron Curry taking 6 for 49 for the Isle side who were then bowled out for 87 with Mark Boscolo took 4 for 28. Everton 3rds bowled Bottesford out for 117 on their artificial wicket , Dave Kilgallon top scoring with 25 whilst brothers Sami Rehman (5 for 32) and Gulrez (3 for 13) did the damage , then Steve Johnson hit 42 as Everton repliedc with 121 for 7. Finally, Upton cum Kexby made 159 at Epworth with Birkett top scoring on 60, veteran bowler Ian Fletcher picking up four wickets for Epworth who were bowled out themselves for 107.

RESULT : EVERTON 3RDS win by 3 wickets
