BROCK ARE EVENING CHAMPS

Brocklesby Park are the champions of the West Wold Evening Cricket League. They finished level on points with nearest rivals Hurdiss, but got the verdict as title winners through having the better score of runs per wicket.
Brocklesby captain Nick Beacock received the trophy from League President Kathleen Smith at the league's presentation evening held at Caistor Cricket Club.
Before the presentations the annual challenge game between the Presidents Xl and the champions was played, the Presidents Xl winning by 27 runs. Opener Luke Robinson of Market Rasen scored the only half-century of the match before retiring on exactly 50 as the rules request in the Evening League. Colleague Mike Strangroom added 28 and Ryan McKitton 27, to boost the Presidents Xl total to 141. Brocklesby then replied with 107 for 3 Charles Strange top scoring with 49 and Matthew Bell adding 20. It proved not to be enough.
