WOMEN'S ASHES TO VISIT LOUTH

FROM JOHN MEDLER

Local cricket superstar and Ashes winner, Arran Brindle is bringing the Women’s Ashes trophy  to Louth Cricket Club’s home ground at London Road this Friday, 13th September from 6.00pm to 7.30pm.
The trophy which is travelling to the home clubs of all 16 players from the England Women's Ashes squad throughout September, will give club members and the local community the chance to celebrate the successful summer with Arran and to see the Women's Ashes trophy.
Arran Brindle said: "I'm delighted to be taking the Women's Ashes trophy back to Louth CC as a great way of saying thank you to all the spectators, friends and family that have supported and helped my cricketing career. I hope our success inspires many more girls and women in to play cricket."
Kate Coles, Women’s Development Officer at Louth Cricket Club, added: “It’s a real privilege to have the Women’s Ashes trophy visiting Louth. Arran has achieved so much in the sport and is a terrific role model for all the girls and women playing here at Louth Cricket Club”
