FINAL PREVIEW OF THE SEASON - LINCS ECB PREMIER

READERS LINCOLNSHIRE ECB PREMIER LEAGUE

Saturday, September 14 - BY ANN BOULTON

As the Readers Lincolnshire ECB Premier League enters its final weekend, the championship is now a straight fight between Woodhall Spa and Sleaford, with the Jubilee Park side eight points ahead of their rivals.
Woodhall make the long journey to Market Deeping as Sleaford trek north to Grimsby and, while Deeping will finish in fifth place regardless of the day’s results, Grimsby - with Bourne and Skegness snapping at their heels - will be fighting to retain their sixth place in the table.
This match brings prolific run scorer Tim McIntosh to Augusta Street and with the Kiwi international needing just 35 runs to crack Mark Fell’s 2008 record of 1187, the Grimsby bowlers will be intent on claiming his wicket as early as possible.
Bourne are away at Spalding, the league newcomers having sealed their place in the top flight for next season and Skegness host Louth who look like finishing in a disappointing ninth place.
Hartsholme, who travel across the city to Bracebridge Heath, now need a miracle, in the form of a 20 point win at Cross O’ Cliff Court and a complete collapse by Haxey, to avoid finishing in bottom place.  Haxey are 19 points ahead and need just two more from their home game against Lindum to ensure an 11th place finish.
Bracebridge and Lindum are now out of the running for the championship but there is still the runners-up spot to fight for and the two bottom sides could face tough final games.

Fixtures (11.30 start)
Grimsby v Sleaford
Bracebridge Heath v Hartsholme
Skegness v Louth
Haxey v Lindum
Spalding v Bourne
Market Deeping v Woodhall Spa
