The now-established annual charity match, Ian Fletcher's X1 v Nigel Fisher's X1, will take place on Sunday, September 12 at Alkborough CC, by kind permission of Ralph Gray, Phyllis the tea lady, and others of importance at West Halton Lane.
If you want to play in my XI I'm now starting to get a side together. Please email scoopfisher@aol.com or leave a message on the machine at 01652 655134. I will then get back to you and confirm your place. Fletch's rules are you need to be 50. Not necessarily be able to score 50 anymore!
Being organised, he's already got his team selected. This is my first effort to find some worthy team-mates. It matters not which part of Lincolnshire you are from - it's certainly NOT confined to those from the Scunthorpe area.
We hope for a good crowd and there will be a raffle - donations of prizes gratefully accepted. We generally raise a few hundred quid for a good cause. This year's recipient will be announced in due course when we've decided.
I think Fletch is now 3-2 up in the World Series - all previous encounters being at Hirst Priory, courtesy of Outcasts CC.
