A big hare bounded across the field during yesterday's Lincs League division three game at Broughton between Broughton 2nds and Grimsby side Laportes.
Not a March hare - but one in September.
It had been disturbed during cereal harvesting being undertaken by a combine in the field behind the ground.
It kept off the playing area before bounding away to the safety of a nearby garden.
