Following
the popularity of last year’s cricket scorers’ courses that saw more than a
dozen people qualify, a further two courses are planned for early 2014.
County
scorer Shelley Clayton and Bracebridge Heath scorer Anne Sutton will be holding
the sessions over three Saturdays - February 15, 22 and March 1.
The
first day is an Introductory/Beginners’ course costing £20 and this will be
followed by a Level One course over the next two Saturdays.
Level
One is aimed at people who have had some experience of scoring and leads to an ECB
ACO qualification on successful completion.
The
first week covers the basics of scoring and this is followed by more in depth
instructions on the second Saturday, plus practice match exercises. The third week takes the form of revision and
an examination. The cost of this Level 1
course is £60.
All
sessions take place at the University of Lincoln Sports Campus from 10am to 4pm each day.
