SEVEN YET TO GET CRACKING

Seven clubs have yet to start registering their players through the ECB's Play Cricket system for Lincolnshire County Cricket League duty this season - even though the season is only a few weeks away. Several other clubs have registered just a few players so far - less than a full side.
To avoid a huge glut coming through at once in mid-April, it would be greatly appreciated if a start could be made by those club/team officials who have yet to put fingers to keyboard.
Full instructions were emailed to clubs some weeks ago. This information also appears on the Lincs League's Play Cricket website and can be accessed on your club's home page by clicking on the FAQ heading in the green bar at the top. There's also a link available to tap into the expertise of the ECB Helpdesk people, who are very helpful.
At 11am on Friday, March 25 we had 642 registered players for the Lincs League's 49 teams. We think the final number ought to be close to 1,000. So there's quite a way still to go.
Please note:
Category 1 is for players qualified to play for England;
Category 2 is for current first class players;
Category 3 is for 'overseas players' of which each Lincs League club is allowed one;
Category 3 Exempt is for non-English born players who have now lived in the UK for at least two years. Club administrators seeking Category 3E status for players need to enter the date the player last entered the UK (it will be on his/her passport). Only the League administrator can then change the category to 3E and approve the registration.
This is the ECB required way of doing things online and must be complied with.
For ALL categories of players, please note that the address and phone number boxes on the online registration form have been put there by the ECB for a good reason and need completing. The club will have contact details for all its players. Please provide sufficient information to allow the League and/or the ECB to contact all our registered players, should the need arise.
