Cleethorpes Cricket Club's 15-year old-Ryan Harrison being presented with a cheque for £200 by President Ray Mawer (left) in recognition of being awarded the club's 2010 Scholarship award.
In his first full season playing senior cricket, Ryan scored almost 400 runs and the promising left-hander was rewarded for his consistent performances with his Yorkshire League debut against Harrogate towards the end of last season.
The winner of this award is chosen by the Selection Committee at Cleethorpes and Cricket Chairman Paul Hewstone (also pictured), explained: "Ryan was the unanimous winner of this award and if he continues to show the same commitment and application as he did last season then he will very quickly become an established Yorkshire League player, once he does that then who knows where he could end up?"
Paul went on to explain: "Ryan is one of the first Cleethorpes youngsters to take part in the newly created mentoring scheme and there can be no doubt a lot of his development is due to his close working relationship with his mentor, Bill Kirby."
