DON'T MISS THIS IMPORTANT MEETING

The Lincolnshire County Cricket League's annual general meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 13 at Rase Park, the home of Market Rasen CC, starting at 7.30pm.
All clubs must be represented.
Various rule change proposals are to be presented, copies of which have now been circulated by general secretary Mike Savage. Some of these are from member clubs, others from the league management committee. This will be Mike's last AGM, as he gave many months' notice of his intention to step down at the AGM.
League officers will, as always, recommend a format of teams for the five divisions for the AGM to consider. Ground inspections, where necessary, have already been carried out and the information made available.
However, this year there are no applications from "new" teams wishing to join as members of division four. Brigg Town's resignation has already been received and accepted from the basement section, while premier division champions Messingham have declined an invitation to be promoted back to the Lincs ECB Premier League for 2011.
The AGM will be asked to consider whether to discontinue the current, traditional system of registering players with paper forms and filling in scoresheets to be posted, faxed or scanned and emailed. There is a proposal to "go digital" and use the ECB's Play Cricket system to register players and input scorecards online, starting next April. This affects a number of existing league rules and will therefore require changes to be agreed by the majority of clubs. Full details have been sent to clubs, well ahead of the meeting.
