A cricket umpires' training course will get under way at the Brumby Hall cricket pavilion, off Ashby Road, Scunthorpe, on Monday, January 11 (7pm).
Over the weeks that follow, trainee officials will receive expert tuition on the many laws of the game.
Having completed the course there will be the opportunity to take a test, following which successful candidates will be eligible to stand in matches on Saturdays and Sundays next season.
