FIRST CLASS LIST REVEALED

Many Lincolnshire-based cricket fans will be spectating at Test matches, One Day Internationals and county games during what promises to be a long, busy and enjoyable 2010 season.
The ECB has now announced the official list of fixtures, and you can download a PDF or XCEL file for yourself through this helpful link 2010 FIXTURES
Some groups from the Scunthorpe area like to make a sort of late season pilgrimage to Scarborough, to watch Yorkshire in action. Many clubs from our area also like to make a day of it at an international. Big breakfast on the way, much beer supped under a blazing(?) sun, etc, etc
Whenever the first class fixture list is announced I always look to see whether there just might be a Notts game at Chichester Road, Cleethorpes. Can't spot one for 2010 but that won't stop me hoping the Midlands county might be heading for the seaside the following summer. Cleethorpes is a traditional holiday/day trip venue for folk from the Midlands - going back decades - if you were wondering about the connection. There's even a pub called The Nottingham near the seafront. Notts have played games there in the past, and I remember watching Northants play there many years ago, when I seem to recall Sarfraz Nawaz - founding father of reverse swing - was in the visiting line-up.
