AMAZING SMILE NLL DIVISION THREE KO CUP
FINAL
Bawtry CC are the Amazing Smile NLL Division Three KO Cup winners in their first season as they dominated their game against Messingham. Neil Birkitt's side batted first making 84 thanks in the main to Ian Dawson who scored 30 , Midgley taking 3 for 7 for Bawtry who eased to their target , losing just two wickets on the way , openers Abbas scoring 45 not out and Morley 37.
AMAZING SMILE NLL DIVISION ONE
Appleby Frodingham beat Alkborough to claim a share of the title in Division One. The Steelmen set a tough target of 179 for 8 with skipper Matt Fowler hitting 58 and Liam Grimes 26 , Paul Mitchell picking up 5 for 66 for Alkborough who were dismissed for 75 , Matty Baxter top scoring with 16 as George Forrester took 5 for 28 and Fowler 4 for 15. The other Division One game saw Jamie Brumby hit 101 for Scunthorpe Town added to by Rory Franklin who made 80 as Scunthorpe Town racked up 258 for 5 at Grimsby who to their credit reached 182 in reply , Danny Mawer scoring 71.
AMAZING SMILE NLL DIVISION TWO
Cleethorpes remain top of the Division Two table following their close encounter victory over Hibaldstow at Chichester Road. Hibaldstow made 156 for 7 , Jerry Thomas scoring 55 and Nick Shepherdson 27 and the game was in the balance before the Meggies eventually reached 160 for 8 , Sam Baker hitting 57 and Ian Mansfield 31 as Shepherdson ended with excellent figures of 3 for 9. Caistor Cougars now need to beat Hibaldstow on September 21st to clinch the title ahead of Cleethorpes and they had a comfortable win over an under strength Outcasts side who bowled the Cougars out for 154 then were dismissed for 101 and the winner takes all game between Luddington and Everton out on the Isle went the way of Ryan Garner's Everton who had bowled Ludd out for just 57 , Chris Woods taking 6 for 18 and Ellis Meak 4 for 36 including a hat trick to end the innings , Darren Clark top scoring for the Isle team with 28 then Arron Botterill guided Everton home although Ludd did capture 5 wickets in what was a tense affair.
