2.15pm Saturday, April 27: Jonathan Miller bowling for Lincoln Lindum at home to Grimsby Town, the latter have progressed to 149 for 5 from 35 overs. The fine action picture was taken by NIGEL WEST and sent to Lincs Cricket Latest by the wonders of modern technology.

Copies are available for sale. It's often said in sport "You are a long time retired." Those of us whose cricket careers began in the era of black and white prints will have kept a few old team pix in a drawer somewhere. But when we go (hopefully not for a few years yet) the chances are they will be thrown out. And that's a great pity. You lads who play today are lucky: Your performances, in the digital era, go into archives that should last for ever. Especially those taken by photographers like Nigel who use major storage servers like Photobox.
