You had a few ducks and we have thousands.
That was the conversation between BBC Test Match Special Commentator Jonathan Agnew and Eric Jagger, Sales and Marketing Director of Cherry Valley Ducks in Caistor, when the two met up at a sportsmans dinner held at Forest Pines and hosted by Caistor Town Cricket Club.
Cherry Valley are known throughout the world for their ducks and 'Aggers,' as he is affectionately known to all cricket lovers, admitted that he had tasted the product at his local Chinese in Melton Mowbray.
The fundraising event was in aid of the Caistor Youth Cricket Academy this year sponsored by Paul Wiseman Electricals in Caistor.
Cherry Valley also sponsor the club and My Agnew admitted that he had never had a pair - ducks in both innings of the same match.
"No I never bagged a pair but Geofrey Boycott did, "Mr Agnew declared, referring to his fellow radio commentator.
Mr Agnew enthralled his audience with tales from both his playing career and the commentary box.
