A training course for prospective club cricket umpires gets under way on Monday (Jan 10) at Brumby Hall cricket pavilion, Ashby Road, Scunthorpe (7pm).
It is being run by the Scunthorpe and District Cricket Umpires’ Association, which is offering expert tuition to those interested.
At the end of the course, there is the option to undertake an assessment.
Successful candidates may then join the association and be invited to stand in matches during the summer, if they wish.
Anyone interested is welcome to attend Monday evening sessions, starting from Monday.
Further details can be obtained from general secretary Nigel Fisher, call 01652 655134 or e-mail scoopfisher@aol.com
