BIRTHDAY BLUES

Today's my birthday, which brings back a few cricketing memories.
Circa 1976 I played a Sunday friendly for Brigg, never having made a club half-century at that time, and had reached 49 not out, enjoying a good 10th wicket stand at Barton Town, when my partner, Neil Marland, kindly ran himself out, with plenty of overs remaining.
The fact I've been celebrating today is the reason for the later-than-normal posts. Still - approaching midnight, and despite a bit of liquid refreshment - the quota has been reached. Back tomorrow - hopefully none the worse for wear!
