TEST STAR MAKES SWEET MUSIC

From Ann Boulton

Re the Lashings match (at Woodhall Spa - see earlier post) it's worth paying to eat in the marquee just to hear Henry Olonga sing. What a fabulous voice. Steve (Boulton) umpired the match the year before last and it was a fantastic day despite a deluge just before the game was due to start which reduced the overs.

  1. Lets hope for better weather this year , the people at Woodhall Spa performed a miracle to get any cricket played last year.
I would thoroughly recommend this fixture as a great day out . All the ex test players are happy to mix with the spectators and sign autographs , and beware any Woodhall players Alvin Kallicharan was looking to play practical jokes on the opposition at any opportunity.
Lashings raise money for such good causes and give value for money back in the way they play the beloved game .
Nigel you may want to post a link to explain the origins and aims of Lashings CC www.lashing.co.uk .

  2. These are nice kind comments and as a player from last time the friendly banter of the Lashings players was excellent. Nothing too much trouble and very happy to mix and play cricket and have some fun.
I encourage all cricket followere to get in touch and enjoy the hospitality and prey for some good weather.
