MANY CELEBRATE LIFE OF UMPIRE KEITH WARN
Yesterday saw a service in Cadney church, near Brigg, to celebrate the life of cricket personality Keith Warn, a well-known and highly respected member of the Scunthorpe and district umpires' panel, who died aged 70. Many of Keith's umpiring colleagues were there, along with present-day players from various clubs, including Brocklesby Park, with which he had close connections.

EQUIPMENT WARNING FOLLOWS THEFT
By Matt Gleadell
Morton Cricket Club have recently had some ground equipment stolen from their lock up storage container during a break in. A brand new Hayter SP36 Scarifier used only once and a Ransome Marquis 45 Mower with 10 blade cylinder that had recently had a £500.00 refurbishment. The estimated value of the two items is believed to be about £2,000. This post from Morton is both to warn other clubs to be vigilant and ensure that their own storage sheds, garages for this type of equipment are secure and also to say if any club out there comes across these items, or are offered them for sale, perhaps they would get in touch with Morton CC.
The club is also offering a financial reward of £100.00 to any one that provides information leading to the recovery of these items.
