If you are a village
cricket club and want to follow in the footsteps of 2013
winners Cleator CC by playing in a final at Lord’s, this your chance! Next year will be the bicentenary of Lord’s
Cricket Ground and your club has the chance to play there, courtesy of The
Cricketer magazine.
In existence for over 40 years, the National Village Cup is
a summer-long knockout tournament, offering rural cricketers the chance to
compete in a nationwide competition that culminates in a September showpiece
final at Lord's. It is the only sporting event in the world that provides such a
genuine Roy of the Rovers experience.

Any entering club is just eight wins away from that dream
ticket to Lord’s. As well as playing on Lord’s hallowed turf, finalists are also
accommodated in the same hotel the England team use and provided with cup final
suits, thanks to TM Lewin, the official formal wear suppliers of Alastair Cook’s
men.
For more information, including the competition Rules &
Regulations, please visit our website at www.thecricketer.com or call David Currie on 0207 460 5200. The
deadline for entries is Tuesday 31 December 2013.
We look forward to receiving your entry form.
