QUIZ TIME FOR LINCOLNSHIRE CRICKET LOVERS


Entries are invited for the Lincolnshire Cricket Lovers’ Society Annual Quiz on Tuesday December 4 at Cleethorpes Cricket Club.
This is a light-hearted test of cricketing knowledge with prizes for the winning team – and for the lowest score.
Teams of four are welcome but anyone without a team can be matched up with other entrants.
The cost is £5 per person which includes a supper of pie and peas.

LOCAL SPEAKER AT CRICKET LOVERS’ SOCIETY MEETING IN CLEETHORPES


A local cricket club president, who played in the Scunthorpe area for many years, is the speaker at the November meeting of the Lincolnshire Cricket Lovers’ Society.
Mick Allcock now heads Broughton Cricket Club, having played for them in various leagues in the county.
A former police superintendent, now retired, Mick is a popular local speaker and has many stories to tell of players and memorable matches.
He will be at Cleethorpes Cricket Club on Tuesday, November 13 at 7.30pm.  Admission is free for Cricket Lovers’ Society members and £5 for guests.

SCUNTHORPE TOWN CRICKET CLUB ANNUAL MEETING

Scunthorpe Town Cricket Club will be holding its AGM on 22nd November at 7.00pm at Heslam Park.
It has been a very interesting year for the club with a number of trophies won but promotion not being gained to the Lincs ECB Premier after all. So there should be plenty to discuss.

Nets began on Friday 19th of October and the next Session shall be Friday 16th November.
Anyone who is Missing the game during the long winter months are invited to come along.
